Controller and purpose
Medicw Limited publishes Field Companion for NetBox, an unofficial Android client for the NetBox server selected by the user.
Server connection and local storage
Your NetBox URL and API token are used to contact the NetBox endpoint you configure, not a Medicw Limited relay. Release connections use HTTPS. Saved tokens use Android Keystore-backed protection; selected inventory summaries and recent details may be cached locally for field/offline use.
Camera and label scanning
When you use the scanner, camera frames and barcode decoding are processed on-device using Google ML Kit. The camera image and decoded barcode are not intentionally transmitted to Medicw Limited or to Google as input media.
Google ML Kit telemetry
The bundled ML Kit barcode-scanning SDK may automatically transmit limited diagnostics and usage information to Google, including device/app attributes, installation identifiers, performance statistics and scanning feature events. See Google ML Kit data disclosure for its current SDK practices.
Data sharing
Medicw Limited does not operate a NetBox data relay or host your inventory. Your configured server operator determines its own access logs, data retention and server-side processing.
Retention and deletion
Remove saved connections/caches from app settings, clear Android app storage or uninstall the app. A separate NetBox administrator controls data stored on the NetBox server.
Children
This professional network/DCIM tool is not designed for children.
Policy changes
We may update this policy if the app, SDKs or data practices change. The effective date will be updated for material revisions.
